Viewster Adds The Inbetweeners and Hundreds of More Great Titles to Its Catalogue of Free Videos in Many Countries

New Content Deals Include Top U.K. and Australian Series, and Star-Studded U.S. Feature Films

CANNES, FRANCE--(Marketwired - Apr 8, 2013) - Viewster (www.viewster.com), a leading service for Video on Demand, today announced a raft of significant additions to its international online library. Spanning more than two hundred titles, the various new deals include highly popular British and Australian series, along with various American films that will be made available ad-based and free-to-watch to consumers across the U.S., U.K., Germany, Australia, and other countries internationally.

The highlights of the new additions to Viewster's collection include great international fare, such as the U.K.'s The Inbetweeners and Peep Show; SciFi's Flash Gordon; At Home with Julia, one of Australia's most popular scripted comedies; and American films featuring popular Hollywood stars like Ellen Page, Naomi Watts, Ryan Gosling and Zach Galifianakis.

The series and movies are licensed to Viewster through agreements with a range of top distributors, including DRG, Screen Media Ventures, ABC Commercial Australia, Millennium Media Services, Sonar Entertainment, and Content Media Corp. While certain series are available on other video on-demand sites in the United States and elsewhere, Viewster makes it possible for viewers in many selected countries across the globe to see this content in full, all at one online destination for free.

"While Viewster has been providing the finest legal entertainment to its visitors since day one, this newest batch of more than 600 hours of programming marks a significant addition to our diversified content strategy," said Kai Henniges, CEO of Viewster. "We are making in-demand films and series available on-demand in places they never have been at a cost they never have been -- completely free."

"We are working with a diverse assortment of partners to bring the most eclectic entertainment to our audience possible," added Henniges. "Many companies in the VOD space benefit from their partnerships with large providers of this content, but those partnerships can also be constraining, keeping great content that should otherwise be available behind a premium walled garden. Viewster suffers from no such constraints. You can start watching the best film and television have to offer at the simple click of a button without logging in or having to provide any payment information."
