Villas of Grand Cypress and Its Nine18 Restaurant Named Four-Star Hotel, Restaurant by Forbes Travel Guide in Official 2016 Star Rating Announcement

Orlando Golf Resort and On-Site Fine Dining Restaurant Maintain Prestigious Rating

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwired - February 23, 2016) - Forbes Travel Guide unveiled its annual Star Rating list, naming Villas of Grand Cypress and its on-site dining destination, Nine18, as a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel and restaurant. The new rankings place the resort in an elite group of only three Orlando properties to earn the four star rating; Nine18 is one of the city's two in the restaurant category. 2016 marks the 3rd consecutive year that Villas of Grand Cypress and Nine18 have been recognized with this prestigious award; it also follows other recent accolades for the resort's commitment to outstanding guest service and experience. Among those is the 2016 U.S. News & World Report Gold Badge Award as a "Best Hotel within the USA" and as the only Orlando hotel in the 2016 TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice™ award's "Top 25 Hotels -- United States" category.

"We could not be more honored to be recognized by Forbes Travel Guide with their Four Star award," said Villas of Grand Cypress General Manager, Mark Cox. "Understanding the strict guidelines put forth by Forbes as a precursor for inclusion on this list, I speak for the entire Villas of Grand Cypress family when I say we are proud and honored."

"Our Star Ratings recognize the finest hotels, restaurants and spas in the world. These ratings serve as the most authoritative guideposts for guests seeking exceptional travel experiences. Our primary mission is to contribute to excellence in hospitality, serving the global tourism industry as well as the guest," said Gerard J. Inzerillo, Chief Executive Officer of Forbes Travel Guide. "We're proud to be associated with the new additions to our global list."

Villas of Grand Cypress is a hidden oasis tucked away in Orlando's Lake Buena Vista neighborhood (adjacent to Walt Disney World®), presenting a consistent Forbes Four Star, AAA Four Diamond experience unique to the area. Tree lined roads weave through this 1,500-acre retreat that offers 146 elegantly appointed guest suites and villas framing 45 holes of Jack Nicklaus Signature-designed golf. Following a recent $17 million renovation, accommodations at Villas of Grand Cypress range from oversized suites to 2,800 square-foot four-bedroom villas, complete with full kitchens, living and dining areas, fireplaces, and extended patios for lounging and grilling. A strong emphasis on luxury service culture adds to a comprehensive roster of amenities that rival that of a large-scale resort: golf enthusiasts can perfect their swing with state-of-the-art learning technologies at the Grand Cypress Academy of Golf while non-golfers explore an abundance of other offerings such as in-room spa services, a swimming pool, bicycle rentals, fitness center, fishing, and access to the Grand Cypress Racquet Club, jogging and walking trails, as well as watersports on Lake Windsong.

Villas of Grand Cypress also features two on-site dining options, including Nine18. One of only two Forbes Four-Star restaurants in the city, Nine18 overlooks the resort's North-South golf course. Both area locals and hotel guests enjoy a dinner menu of inspired American cuisine with global influence by award-winning chef Lonny Huot. Black Angus steaks, fresh seafood, and an extensive wine collection are paired with Nine18's thoughtful, personal service.
