Vineyard Networks and Napatech to Showcase High Performance Deep Packet Inspection Platform at Cisco Live

KELOWNA, BC and ANDOVER, MA--(Marketwire - Jun 11, 2012) - Vineyard Networks and Napatech today announced that they will be demonstrating a new, powerful 10 Gbps Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) enabled platform at the upcoming Cisco Live Event in San Diego. The DPI platform demonstration will showcase how the combined technologies of Vineyard Networks and Napatech can be used by OEM vendors to build cost effective, application-aware network traffic capture, inspection and analysis appliances based on standard servers.

The demand for high performance DPI enabled solutions is on the rise, fuelled by the huge growth in Internet traffic in both enterprise and mobile environments. Customers require their platforms to have the ability to capture, analyze, and inspect network traffic at speeds up to 40 and 100Gbps. The combined Vineyard and Napatech demonstration shows it is possible to build a high-performance platform and framework that can address this need. This allows third-party vendors, such as network security, monitoring, traffic management and optimization appliance vendors, to build application-aware appliances without the need to invest in costly hardware development, firmware programming or advanced application recognition software development.
