SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwire - May 25, 2012) - The California Secretary of State awarded Visionary Integration Professionals (VIP) a contract for just under $1 million to provide project management services for the California Business Connect (CBC) project, which will automate the manual filing and records request processes within the agency's Business Programs Division.
Most businesses are required to file documents with the Secretary of State (SOS) when operating in California. Currently, SOS staff members follow laborious procedures to process over two million filings and records requests a year. In some cases, no electronic back-up files exist.
The California Business Connect project will automate and streamline filing and records-request processing while also supporting more environmentally friendly and cost-effective procedures by eliminating dependence on paper-based transactions.
