Virtual Hold Technology, Mark Williams Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2009 Award Winner in Northeast Ohio

Award Recognizes Entrepreneurial Excellence in Information Technology Services Category

AKRON, OH--(Marketwire - June 17, 2009) - Virtual Hold Technology® (VHT), the leading provider of collaborative virtual queuing solutions for contact centers worldwide, today announced that VHT Founder and President Mark Williams received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2009 Award in the Information Technology Services category in Northeast Ohio. According to Ernst & Young LLP, the award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. Mark Williams was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a gala event at the Playhouse Square on June 10, 2009.

"When I started VHT, our vision was simply to eliminate the pervasive problems associated with hold time within the business contact center," Williams said. That vision was realized by the creation of an innovative solution for companies with busy contact centers that, during periods of high call volume, gives customers the option to wait for the next available representative, or hang up and receive a callback from a representative.

"After 14 years of dedication and hard work, we have established VHT as the leader and market founder in virtual queuing communication software, and have significantly expanded our product offerings and value beyond our original vision. We have the satisfaction of knowing that our products provide value to our clients and the millions of customers that experience Virtual Hold every day. It is a great honor to be selected as the 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year, and a truly proud moment for all of us."

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards celebrate their 23rd anniversary this year. The program honors entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exceptionality in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

"We are proud to recognize the achievements of Northeast Ohio," said Mike Mazzeo, Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year Program Director for Northeast Ohio. "Winners of the Entrepreneur Of The Year Award build leading businesses and contribute significantly to the strength of our region's economy. Their success helps our area grow stronger."

As a Northeast Ohio award winner, Mark Williams is now eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year 2009 national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 14, 2009. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.

Founded and produced by Ernst & Young LLP, the Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards are pleased to have the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and SAP America as national sponsors.

In Northeast Ohio, local sponsors include Thompson Hine LLP and Smart Business.
