Virtual Premise Customers Reduce IT Administration Costs and Improve Identity Management With the Latest SaaS Single Sign-On Functionality

Enhanced Security Offering Gives Users Added Convenience and Accessibility, Improving Employee Productivity While Reducing Risk of Data Loss and Unauthorized Access

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - February 24, 2010) - Virtual Premise, a leading SaaS provider of real estate information management solutions, today announced that its customers are deploying Single Sign-On (SSO) technology to help reduce IT administration costs while improving identity management across the enterprise. SSO technology, which eliminates the need for employees to maintain multiple user names and passwords across applications, gives Virtual Premise customers the ability to access their Virtual Premise solution simply by signing on to their corporate network. This allows them to leverage their existing security management investments.

Because organizations worldwide are adopting SaaS applications at a record rate, companies are using SSO technology to ensure critical customer information is not compromised, while reducing the administrative headache associated with maintaining a large number of logins. SSO-enabled solutions require users to be authenticated by their corporate authentication system before accessing outsourced applications. Upon login, users have access to all SSO-enabled Internet applications without entering another user name or password -- no additional credentials are required. By eliminating the need to maintain separate passwords for all Internet applications, Virtual Premise customers benefit from:

-- Reduced costs associated with automating the manual account management
    processes,
-- A decrease in the threat of identity theft and phishing attacks, and
-- An increase in regulatory compliance due to the automatic removal of
    access to Internet applications.

"With the high cost of administering user IDs across a number of business systems, smart companies are looking for a better way to give different groups -- even independent groups within the same organization -- secure and convenient access to the same data," said Dutch Schultz, EVP, Technology Operations of Virtual Premise. "Single sign-on technology is a cost-effective way for companies to set up identity federation. This allows customers to extend their enterprise environments using secure SaaS applications, such as the Virtual Premise Global Real Estate Management System™, while increasing employee productivity."

No matter where users begin their online experience or where they are going, the Virtual Premise solution can enable proper information access in cross-domain situations. If a company does not have an existing identity federation implementation, Virtual Premise can work with it to establish an SSO capability.
