Virtual Training in a Classroom: A Business Innovation

Remote Classroom Instruction Is Finalist in American Business Awards(SM)

WILMINGTON, DE--(Marketwire - May 20, 2010) -  ONLC Training Centers was named a finalist in the American Business Awards 2010 competition. The company's Remote Classroom Instruction training solution, which delivers virtual training in a classroom environment, was nominated as Business Innovation of the Year. ONLC trains IT professionals and administrative staff on Microsoft, Citrix, Oracle, and Adobe products.

During the 27-month recession, while many of its competitors shut down, ONLC opened over 200 new locations. Through its aggressive expansion the company created a national footprint of training locations that are less than an hour's commute to over 80 percent of the U.S. population.

"Our sites have small classrooms that seat one to four students and use internet conferencing to link them to an instructor in another facility," said Andy Williamson, ONLC Training Center's CEO.

"Students from multiple classrooms across the country can be combined, increasing our enrollments and lowering our class cancellation rate," Williamson continued. Students registering for an ONLC class have over a 95 percent chance of getting their class on the day and location that they initially select, without a cancellation.

As a finalist in the American Business Awards, ONLC Training Centers will be present on Monday, June 21 in New York City at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, where the winners will be announced. Over six hundred executives from across the country are estimated to attend. ONLC Training Centers was chosen from over 2,700 entries submitted for consideration because of the company's innovative Remote Classroom Instruction training model.
