Ran's session will be held on the Interop Show Floor at the Cloud and Virtualization Theater.
Today, an intensifying "tug-of-war" is being waged over maintaining visibility into the data speeding across data centers and enterprise networks. 10G network traffic and increased SSL encryption, along with the highly-switched, redundant, and distributed nature of data center networks, are all degrading the ability of monitoring, security and compliance tools to see traffic on the physical and virtual wire. Nahmias will share use cases involving VMware in real-world implementations, demonstrating how to solve lack of visibility and maintain or restore security as well as conduct regulatory compliance.
