VirtuOz Appoints Eric Anderson Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales

SaaS Industry Veteran to Help Drive Next Phase of Growth for Company in Light of Increasing Demand for Intelligent Virtual Assistants From the Fortune 1000

EMERYVILLE, CA--(Marketwire - February 16, 2011) - VirtuOz, Inc., a leading provider of intelligent virtual agents, the most contemporary channel for online customer service, today announced that Eric Anderson, an industry veteran with over 17 years of selling software as a service (SaaS), eCommerce, and Internet-based solutions, has been appointed senior vice president of worldwide sales. Anderson is the latest addition to the seasoned management team that will help drive the company through its next phase of growth. The news comes on the heels of the recent Gartner report predicting that, "In three to five years, [virtual assistants] will be the standard technology for customer interactions."

Prior to VirtuOz, Eric was the vice president of worldwide sales at publically held Rainmaker Systems (RMKR), where he led global sales activities in US, Canada, UK and Asia. During his tenure, Eric more than doubled revenue and grew the company's SaaS business to 35 percent of overall revenue. Prior to Rainmaker, Eric served as vice president of sales for Encover, a SaaS service contract management solutions, and UniDirect.

Eric holds a BA degree in Business Management from San Jose State University.
