Vision 2012 Society: Press Release

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - March 4, 2011) - Alberta is a province in a state of political revitalization. A new party is coming to fill the niche once occupied by the former Green Party of Alberta.

THE EVERGREEN PARTY OF ALBERTA is the name being reserved by Elections Alberta while green supporters work to meet the requirements for registering a new party. Like the Green Party of Canada and the other provinces' Green parties, it will provide an opportunity to vote for the goals and principles of the Global Greens political movement, according to Nick Burman, president of the society created to form the new party.

"From 2001 through the 2008 elections in both Alberta and Canada, the green vote grew steadily," said Mr. Burman. "The Evergreen Party will offer Albertans the opportunity to vote once again for good government, true democracy, fiscal responsibility, social justice and environmental sustainability. We believe this is what Albertans are really looking for."
