Vision Research Announces Motion Analysis Software Partnership With Image Systems, AB

Vision Research to Bundle TEMA Motion Analysis Software With High-Speed Digital Cameras

WAYNE, NJ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 12, 2007 -- The world's leader in the acquisition of high-speed images is joining forces with the world's leader in motion analysis software to give their customers access to a world-class motion analysis system. TEMA Starter for Phantom, a $4000 value, will be included with every Phantom camera shipped by Vision Research. Customers can optionally install the software and use it for 60 days at no charge. If, after 60 days, they choose to continue using the software, they can purchase a license code from VRI for a small administrative fee.

"Most analytical instruments provide a user with both a visual, subjective view of an event as well as a quantitative, analytical view," commented Kamran Firooz, VRI President and CEO. "High-speed cameras are no different. One can evaluate an event that is normally too fast too see both visually -- by watching the slow motion movie of the event -- and analytically by using TEMA motion analysis software. This increases the value of our cameras to our customers and improves their return-on-investment."

"With this partnership, we provide an overall system solution to our customer's problem, not only individual components. We've had an informal partnership with VRI for more than 6 years and we have a lot of success with the Phantom cameras. By formalizing our partnership, we will bring more value to our joint customers," said Anders Källdahl. "Image Systems can also provide complex camera control software, system integration services and other value added services in combination with Vision Research."

TEMA Starter for Phantom has the functionality of automatic tracking of 3 targets, X/T diagrams, spreadsheet and image export, scaling, and calculations for velocity and acceleration.

If a user needs more functionality than is available in TEMA Starter for Phantom, they can purchase upgrades through VRI to higher performance versions of TEMA software such as TEMA 2D or TEMA 3D at attractive upgrade prices. TEMA 2D has an unlimited number of points, multiple tracking algorithms, and more flexible reporting and results presentation. TEMA 3D can do 3-dimensional measurements from multiple camera views.
