NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 5, 2007 --Not every photographer can capture lifestyle
images, portrait work and special occasions and then set their lens on the
open spaces of America's great Southwest to capture the images of mustangs
roaming freely. But Len Marks isn't just another photographer. The man
behind the camera is a true visionary who is passionate about his work.
That passion can be seen in his imagery of "Mustangs," an art exhibit and
sale which will be take place on May 12 at Len Marks Equine Studio in Cold
Spring Harbor.
With "Mustangs" Len Marks has captured the movement and visions of wild
horses gracing the landscape of America's Southwest. Marks creates
dramatic images that speak to the soul. The wild mustangs exhibit will be
presented in several themes that include large scale fine art giclee
limited edition pieces; one-of-a-kind encaustic multimedia pieces and
commissioned equine portraiture showcasing the intense bond between horse
and owner. The images illustrate Marks' passion and skills as he captures
images that are seldom seen.
Additionally, Marks has forged relationships with horse rescue farms,
equine adoption facilities, and individuals that care deeply about these
magnificent animals. Much of the land in which wild horses run is swiftly
becoming a product of industrial development, priority for cattle grazing,
and test drilling for energy exploration. "These photos exist on their own
merit as alluring art pieces and also serve as a reminder about the
historic significance mustangs fulfill in our nation's landscape," explains
Marks. Marks travels throughout the United States to capture the beauty,
movement and images of these alluring creatures. He is committed to
building awareness and educating the public about the beauty and intensity
of these horses so that they do not become a distant memory of our history.
The "Mustang" exhibit and sale will take place on Saturday May 12th from 12
to 6 p.m. for public viewing. The first 100 guests will receive a gift bag
courtesy of Len Marks Equine and Cold Spring Harbor Merchants. Guests
booking a photographic session that day receive a 20% discount and two
complimentary unframed 8x10 photographic prints. For more information,
