Visiphor to Deliver Electronic Traffic Records Solution for Washington State

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 23, 2006) - Visiphor Corporation ("Visiphor") (OTCBB:VISRF)(TSX VENTURE:VIS)(DE:IGYA) announces that it has commenced work on a professional services contract to develop and implement an Electronic Traffic Records exchange solution for the Washington State Department of Information Services (DIS). The contract was awarded to Sunaptic Solutions ("Sunaptic"), which is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Visiphor, on a joint bid with Visiphor in November prior to the merger of the companies.

As part of Washington's Electronic Traffic Information Processing (E-TRIP) initiative, the solution will allow law enforcement agencies throughout the State to submit tickets and collision reports electronically, replacing a manual system that involved the preparation of multi-part paper forms and manual data entry into three different information systems. The contract leverages Visiphor's extensive integration experience in justice systems, in addition to the health care, financial services and energy sectors. The contract is valued at approximately USD $200,000 and the solution has an in-service date of April 2006.

"This contract clearly demonstrates the new synergies brought to Visiphor by the Sunaptic acquisition," said Visiphor President and CEO Roy Trivett. "Justice information systems have long been an important part of Visiphor's business and this contract illustrates an exciting set of new offerings we can bring to that expanding market. We are excited about the opportunity to work with the State of Washington and are happy to welcome DIS as a new customer"

Mike Hilton, Senior VP of Product Management for Visiphor said, "Washington is one of the first states in the country to tackle a large scale integration of traffic records systems. This particular project will address two of the high volume/high value data exchanges between law enforcement entities and the state agencies that process those records. It's an exciting and ambitious project for the State that will have immediate and significant return on investment for the stakeholders. It's also going to demonstrate the business case for integrating the hundreds of other data exchanges that exist throughout Washington's law and justice information ecosystem."
