Viterra Continues Focus on Operational Excellence: Announces New Build in Saskatchewan


REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwired - April 3, 2014) - Viterra Inc. ("Viterra"), Canada's grain industry leader, is pleased to announce its intent to build a high throughput grain elevator at Kindersley, SK. The new facility will have a storage capacity of 34,000 metrics tonnes and a 108 railcar spot.

Over the last several years, the company has proactively made a series of infrastructure investments in its asset network to promote the efficient movement of agricultural commodities. Most recently in Saskatchewan, Viterra announced it is spending over $20 million to upgrade four of its Saskatchewan grain terminals at White Star, Humboldt, Waldron and Ituna. It has also recently completed similar expansions at Gull Lake, SK and Fairlight, SK. In Alberta, Viterra has announced it is spending over $34 million through an expansion and upgrade to its facility in Grassy Lake, as well as building a high throughput terminal in Grimshaw.
