Viterra Hosts Grand Reopening of White Star Grain Facility


REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwired - June 25, 2014) - Viterra Inc. ("Viterra"), Canada's grain industry leader, today hosted a grand reopening event at its grain facility in White Star, SK with employees, farm customers and government officials. The event was organized to celebrate the completion of a series of upgrades and expansions to the elevator originally announced in May, 2013.

In his remarks to the audience Don Drombolis, Viterra's Vice-President of Operations said, "Viterra has an excellent track record of serving farmers in the Prince Albert area, and we are pleased to be in a position to reinvest in this facility to make sure it meets their growing needs. The facility's storage capacity has been increased by 17,100 metric tonnes (mt) to approximately 27,000 mt. Rail capacity has also been expanded, with the ability to load 13 cars per hour. Additional changes include dryer upgrades, increases to receiving capacity and improvements to the facility's grading room.
