Viterra to Publish Weekly Grain Harvest Report

ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 2, 2011) - Viterra Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Viterra Inc. (TSX:VT) (ASX:VTA) with operations in Australia and New Zealand, has published the first of its weekly grain harvest reports showing grower receivals into its South Australian storage and handling network as well as commentary on the progress of harvest.

Dean McQueen, Executive Manager Grain, said, "the report was a key commitment arising from the Post Harvest Review. It provides more information to all participants in the grain industry, including growers, grain marketers and exporters."

The report will be updated weekly and will provide both weekly and cumulative grower receival tonnages by region for Viterra's South Australian storage and handling network and a general overview of harvesting conditions.

Viterra will publish the report on its Australian website, www.viterra.com.au, each week, and is also available to interested parties through an email subscription service.

"The first report, released today, includes grower receivals since the first of October. We have been receiving a small amount of grain into sites on the Eyre Peninsula, the mid-north of the State and the upper Yorke Peninsula. We expect harvest to begin in earnest within the next couple of weeks depending on weather conditions."

In addition to the weekly harvest report, Viterra has also been publishing weighted average quality data for each grade at each site on the ezigrain website www.ezigrain.com.au. This includes bin grade, moisture, test weight, protein and screenings for wheat, barley and canola.

Since the Post Harvest Review was released at the end of June, Viterra has initiated work against each of the 30 recommendations made by the Post Harvest Review working group, including investing more than $12 million in infrastructure, road works, new equipment and amenities in preparation for this year's harvest.
