Technical Discussion Addressing Carrier Ethernet for Cloud

CAMARILLO, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 2, 2013) - Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: VTSS), a leading provider of advanced IC solutions for Carrier and Enterprise networks, announced that Martin Nuss, chief technology officer at Vitesse, will participate alongside other Carrier Ethernet experts in the technical panel, "Ethernet for Carriers Today: Needs and Requirements," taking place at Ethernet Technology Summit 2013 on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 8:30 am local time.

The panel discussion will focus on MEF's Carrier Ethernet for Cloud Initiative (CE4Cloud), which specifically addresses the needs and requirements of cloud providers and their enterprise customers who rely on them to deliver high quality Carrier Ethernet services to support their cloud-based applications and cloud-connected users. Dr. Nuss joins panel participants from Carrier Ethernet Academy, RAD Data Communications, MRV Communications, Cyan, Fujitsu, and EXFO.

Dr. Nuss has over 20 years of technical and management experience and is a recognized industry expert in timing and synchronization for communications networks. Dr. Nuss serves on the board of directors for the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) and is a fellow of the Optical Society of America and IEEE member. He holds a doctorate in applied physics from the Technical University in Munich, Germany.
