VMTurbo Posts 23rd Consecutive Quarter of Record Revenue in Q1 2016

Over 125 New Customers Join the VMTurbo Family

Former HP COO Bill Veghte Joins Board

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - May 17, 2016) -  VMTurbo, the application performance control system, today announced its 23rd consecutive record revenue quarter and added over 125 new customers in Q1, with over half of the top data center IT firms and service providers now relying on VMTurbo to control their cloud and virtualized environments while guaranteeing performance of applications from VDI to JVMs, OLTP to SQL and beyond.

"As customers embrace hybrid and multi clouds, operating at web scale, they are increasingly relying on software to deliver application performance," said Ben Nye, CEO VMTurbo. "This trend is inevitable. The world's most sophisticated customers, including the largest service providers, technology, financial and health care firms rely on VMTurbo's real-time algorithmic approach to guarantee performance on more and more of their applications."

Great teams build great technology businesses, and the VMTurbo team just became stronger with the addition of leading technology executive Bill Veghte, who has agreed to join VMTurbo's Board of Directors. "I am excited to welcome Bill Veghte to our Board," added Nye. "Bill has built and led some of the great technology businesses of our time, and has added tremendous value in the last two years serving as the Chair of our Technology Steering Council."

"As the Chair of VMTurbo's Technology Steering Council it's been wonderful to help VMTurbo grow from 400 to over 1400 customers," said Veghte. "As companies are turning to the cloud and increasing the density of their virtual machines and containers, it is harder and harder for them to guarantee the performance of their applications manually. VMTurbo is a remarkable technology that enables customers to guarantee this performance. I look forward to helping Ben and the leadership team as a Board Member."

Veghte comes to VMTurbo after leading the HP Enterprise Group and serving as the Chief Operating Officer during the turn-around of HP. In this role, he helped recast the operating model of the company and accelerate the innovation agenda across many parts of the company. He also served as CEO of Survey Monkey after the unexpected passing of its then-CEO David Goldberg. Prior to HP, Veghte spent 19 years at Microsoft in a variety of senior roles including running the Windows business, the Windows Server business and running Microsoft's North American Sales and Services organization.

In Q1, global service providers such as Verizon Enterprise Solutions, KPN, KPMG, and CSC expanded their VMTurbo deployments throughout their clouds, including new services such as Verizon's launch of Intelligent Cloud Control powered by VMTurbo that enables Verizon customers to migrate workloads to the cloud service best matched to an enterprise's performance and resource requirements.

"Verizon is enabling our customers to confidently migrate to the cloud by combining the ability to efficiently manage the multi-cloud environment using Intelligent Cloud Control with the speed and flexibility of our on-demand Secure Cloud Interconnect service," said Shawn Hakl, vice president of Product and New Business Innovation, Verizon. "By extending Verizon's management solutions with VMTurbo application performance control, coupled with our best-in-class technical experts and underpinned by our world-class networks, our clients can maximize application uptime and performance."

Market Momentum

"The first quarter of 2016 was a record quarter for VMTurbo in terms of revenue," said Mo Garad, CFO. "This is the result of the success our 1,400-plus customers' experience with VMTurbo everyday in their private clouds, virtualized data centers, and increasingly in the public cloud, helping them guarantee performance in such complex environments. The market is coming our way, fueling our customer growth."
