VMTurbo to Exhibit Joint Solutions at Red Hat Summit

Demand-Driven Control and Open Source Solutions Leaders Partner to Provide Application QoS Control to OpenStack Users

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - June 23, 2015) - VMTurbo, the only demand-driven control platform for the software-defined data center, will exhibit at the upcoming Red Hat Summit in Boston, MA. VMTurbo and Red Hat will co-demonstrate the results of their recent collaboration, designed to enable users to control their applications, target and deliver on pre-defined Quality of Service metrics while maximizing infrastructure efficiency.

"Red Hat has been a valuable business and technology partner, and we look forward to demonstrating our joint solutions at the Red Hat Summit," said Charles Crouchman, CTO of VMTurbo. "As the ecosystem supporting OpenStack continues to gain momentum, and customers seek new ways to deliver services, we hope to shift the focus of these conversations from the infrastructure running in their environments to what actually matters: the end-user experience."

In May 2015, VMTurbo announced that Red Hat had invested in the Boston-based solutions provider. VMTurbo and Red Hat have partnered on a number of joint solutions and projects, including:

  • OpenStack: The two industry leaders have worked closely on contributions to core OpenStack projects such as OpenStack Telemetry (Ceilometer) and OpenStack Compute (Nova)
  • Red Hat JBoss: VMTurbo's 5.1 Operations Manager release extended coverage and control to JBoss applications, enabling users to define Quality of Service targets and get out-of-the-box scaling recommendations to clone or reconfigure instances with full understanding of the underlying infrastructure resource supply
  • Red Hat CloudForms: VMTurbo's demand-driven control platform performs smoothly with Red Hat CloudForms, an enterprise management solution enabling open, hybrid clouds by providing consistent control, orchestration and virility across virtual infrastructure and public cloud platforms, more specifically enabling users to deploy OpenStack with greater agility and confidence

"Adoption of Red Hat solutions, including JBoss, OpenShift by Red Hat, CloudForms, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization and Linux containers, has empowered our customers to use software to change the way they think about data center operations," said Paul Cormier, EVP and President, Products and Technologies at Red Hat. "Adding VMTurbo's Demand-Driven Control accelerates this changing mindset, enabling customers to elevate their focus up from the infrastructure on which their applications run to delivering differentiated experiences to their end-users."

The 2015 Red Hat Summit takes place from June 23-26 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA. VMTurbo is sponsoring the Summit and will be exhibiting at booth 920. VMTurbo and Red Hat will be jointly demonstrating the CloudForms integration, along with VMTurbo Demand-Driven Control in an OpenStack environment.
