VMworld 2016: Xangati to Demo Cloud Infrastructure & Control Solutions

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - August 26, 2016) - Xangati -- the only live, high-fidelity, cross-silo performance intelligence and IT efficiency solution engineered for hybrid-cloud infrastructures -- will conduct live demos of its Cloud Infrastructure management solutions as an exhibitor at VMworld 2016 being held August 26 - September 1 in Las Vegas. Xangati (booth #2715) will showcase its predictive analytics platform, which is trusted by large enterprises, public sector organizations and cloud service providers worldwide to achieve faster service level objectives for virtualization infrastructure and VDI (virtual desktop infrastructure) environments.

The Xangati ESP platform, a virtual appliance built on a patented in-memory architecture that collates, analyzes and visualizes performance data with unprecedented speed and scale across multiple software-dashboard modules, crunches hundreds of thousands of interactions live, second-by-second, without the use of agents or probes, to enable predictive analytics for performance and capacity based on dynamic threshold algorithms and machine-learned heuristics.

vSphere cloud system administrators are also able to remediate performance and capacity underutilization issues automatically and in real time, due to Xangati's anomaly correlation analytics that identify and self-heal intermittent and chronic resource contentions, leading to improved application delivery as well as identify and optimize capacity underutilization resulting in cost reduction.

"With Xangati ESP for Cloud Infrastructure solutions featuring enhanced storage and cloud visibility, vSphere sysadmins can proactively solve real-time performance and capacity challenges with automated remediation in seconds rather than the retrospective days and weeks of post mortem analysis involved with traditional monitoring," said Atchison Frazer, CMO, Xangati.

Xangati performance analytics technical experts will demo these key vSphere-oriented features to the Xangati ESP for Cloud Infrastructure platform:

  • Xangati MyApp is a new feature that represents the way in which performance, efficiency and capacity of tiered applications are monitored, analyzed and controlled in Xangati, allowing sysadmins to manage and assure the application delivery of mission and business critical enterprise apps. MyApp defines a set of VMs (or IDs) that have an application-level relationship and that are part of the underlying virtualized infrastructure. Xangati will demonstrate how connections between member VMs interact in an application topology live view and report of key services associated with a VM (or ID) based on syntactic interrogation.
  • Xangati Virtual Infrastructure (VI) Module: Xangati ESP VI Module empowers IT departments to deliver the highest level of service assurance analytics to the users of hybrid-cloud and hyper-converged infrastructures. Xangati ESP's cross-silo solution works within popular hypervisors (vSphere, Hyper-V, XenServer), and provides synchronized metrics for Docker-containers, as well as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure public cloud services, with modular optimization options for networking, storage and ADCs (application delivery controllers).
  • Xangati ESP Storage Module: Designed as an aggregated view of storage infrastructure and virtual storage objects -- including Virtual SAN as well as physical devices by EMC, NetApp and Nutanix -- Xangati collects metrics on the IOPS, throughput and latency of each datastore as well as the number of hypervisors and guest VMs using each. Xangati monitors the choke-points for storage systems, typically the network interfaces through which storage talks to the controllers that perform read/write transactions, the disks' ability to deliver I/O, and/or the flash memory's ability to cache and deliver I/O.
  • Xangati ESP VDI Module empowers IT departments to deliver the highest level of service assurance analytics to the users of Horizon or XenDesktop environments, while running the virtualized infrastructure at peak efficiency. Xangati service assurance analytics include measures for end-user quality of experience, capacity utilization, efficiency, resource consumption and performance metrics tied to business outcomes or strategic initiatives.
