Vocalocity Launches VocalocityFLIX Video Portal

New Company Microsite Serves as a Central Repository for All Vocalocity Video Content

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - October 13, 2009) - Vocalocity, the leading provider of small business VoIP services, today announced it has launched VocalocityFLIX, a company microsite featuring video about Vocalocity, including customer testimonials, company and product overviews, support resources and other educational and entertaining Vocalocity video content.

"You can tell a story far more effectively with video, yet few companies take advantage of video to communicate with audiences," says David Politis, EVP and GM, Vocalocity. "We created VocalocityFLIX as a central place where customers, prospects and new employees can come to learn more about Vocalocity, VoIP, and hosted PBX, while also being able to hear first-hand accounts of customer experiences working with Vocalocity. It's like our own version of Hulu for video content across all our channels in the organization."

VocalocityFLIX has launched with a variety of customer testimonial videos, self-recorded by Vocalocity customers, along with several educational videos that introduce people to the company and the technologies that power its small business hosted PBX VoIP services. The company plans to add different types of video content over the next couple of months, including training and demo videos to help customers with their self-service support and training needs.

"We decided customer videos were the right place to start with VocalocityFLIX," adds Politis. "We wouldn't be where we are today without the support of our customers, so rather than produce highly-polished marketing testimonials, we decided to let our customers do the talking. We sent several of our customers FlipMino video cameras and asked them to record themselves talking about their experience working with us -- unscripted. We received some very original submissions, many of which were fun to watch and share on the site."

The initial user-generated videos on the site are similar to those produced by amateurs on sites like YouTube. Customers had complete creative license to record whatever they wanted. As a result, many of the videos feature shaky camera work, one customer shared a magic trick, and several talked about how they use Vocalocity features to help them in their day-to-day business. Vocalocity hopes people will enjoy the videos as a unique and fun way to learn more about the services the company provides, but also see and hear what real customers find most valuable about using Vocalocity's small business VoIP services.

"The videos do a much better job at communicating the value we deliver for our customers than we ever could," adds Politis.
