Voice Mobility Makes Changes to Its Board of Directors

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 27, 2009) - Voice Mobility International, Inc. (TSX:VMY)(OTCBB:VMII)(FRANKFURT:VMY), a Vancouver-based developer and provider of carrier and enterprise messaging solutions, today announced a change to its Board of Directors.

Effective today, David Raffa has stepped down from the Board and will be replaced by Tanner Philp, the CFO and a Partner of Lions Capital, the fund manager of BC Advantage Funds, as the new BC Advantage Funds representative. David has been a valued Board member for 9 years and his past contributions to the Company have been significant. "I enjoyed my tenure on the Board and working with the management team of Voice Mobility. Now that the company is on its way and achieving revenue traction, I feel comfortable passing the baton. Tanner will bring a new skill set and fresh set of eyes for the Board and will be a great addition."

Tanner is responsible for oversight of a number of BC Advantage Fund's telecom and software investments. He specializes in working with companies in these sectors on financing, capital markets programs, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate partnering. In addition, Tanner is a Chartered Accountant and received the Early Achievement Award in 2007 from the BC Institute of Chartered Accountants for outstanding professional and community accomplishment.
