VoicePort & OPUS Health Expand Innovative, Advanced Medication Adherence and Patient Co-Pay Assistance Solution

Joint Pharmacy-Focused Offering Will Extend Patient Reach to Increase Customer Loyalty and Provide Pharmacies With Alternative Revenue Streams

BEDMINSTER, NJ and ROCHESTER, NY--(Marketwire - Aug 29, 2011) - Cegedim Relationship Management's OPUS Health Division and VoicePort, LLC today announced the signing of a co-marketing agreement to create a joint, pharmacy-focused solution aimed at improving prescription compliance and offering patient co-pay assistance. The combined service offering will enable leading pharmacies to increase customer loyalty and market share, and expands OPUS Health's network which provides such services.

Increasing Prescription Adherence & Compliance
The Life Sciences industry faces the challenge of patient non-compliance and patients' inability to afford high quality medication. This new partnership will address these issues by combining speech automation software and marketing solutions.

VoicePort is a preeminent developer of advanced speech recognition and customer service applications for the Life Sciences industry and pharmacies, with applications deployed at more than 500 customer sites in North America. OPUS Health is a leading provider of patient co-pay assistance and medication adherence programs for the Pharmaceutical industry. OPUS has helped 1.5 million patients fill over 2 million prescriptions year-to-date, and boasts 75 active brand programs with 14 pharmaceutical companies, including 4 of the global top-10.

This innovative partnership will provide advanced marketing solutions to keep pharmacies in contact with patients. The combined solution leverages VoicePort's PharmaPhonetics, an advanced self-service technology using speech recognition to automate interactions, and Opus Health's co-pay assistance and medication adherence programs, to extend patient reach by establishing lasting dialogs, and offering patients co-pay assistance intended to increase medication adherence.

"Solutions to increase medication adherence are in great need as patient non-compliance drains an estimated $300 billion dollars a year from the U.S. healthcare system," said Christopher Mann, President and CEO of VoicePort. "This joint solution will help us collaborate with key retailers throughout the U.S. who focus on improved patient outcomes by leveraging the latest in communication technology."

The solution will deliver proactive messaging to patients who have lapsed on their medications with the goal of getting them back onto the regimen prescribed by their healthcare professional. The service is delivered under a HIPAA compliant model, and integrates with pharmacies' management database systems.

"We remain committed to expanding the critically important HCP and RPh touch points to our leading co-pay and adherence platform. Through our partnership with VoicePort, we aim to improve patient care and make brand medication more affordable by working directly with pharmacies," said Mark Calabrese, Vice President and General Manager of OPUS Health for Cegedim Relationship Management. "Pharmacies have direct and regular contact with patients, so they are in a position to promote adherence. Our joint solution builds on our IVR pharmacy network and enables this, and in so doing, benefits the pharmacy as well by helping them increase customer satisfaction and, therefore, market share."

Both OPUS Health and VoicePort are exhibiting at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Conference in Boston, August 27 - 30. OPUS Health is at booth 654 and VoicePort at booth 1159.
