Volkswagen Canada Appoints New Public Relations Manager

Volkswagen Canada announces new appointments in its Marketing and Communications Department.

Following two successful years as Manager, Public Relations, Peter Viney has been appointed to the position of Manager, Retail + CRM Marketing with the overall responsibility for the Volkswagen Brand's Retail Dealer Marketing activities in Canada – including an increased focus to build consumer awareness for Volkswagen Original Parts, Service and Accessories and for Volkswagen Pure Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles, along with building our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program.

Thomas Tetzlaff will assume the role of Manager, Public Relations for the Volkswagen Brand in Canada.  Thomas will be responsible for the planning and successful execution of all Product and Brand Communications activities and relations with the media for the Volkswagen Brand in Canada. As its primary spokesperson, he will maintain Volkswagen Canada's successful relationships with the media and proactively support the launch of Volkswagen's new products in Canada. He will also support Volkswagen Group Canada Inc. in its activities to promote its corporate and social responsibilities.

Thomas brings with him a wealth of Volkswagen experience and enthusiasm. Thomas joined Volkswagen Canada as a Sales Trainer in 1998 after holding progressive management roles in the retail automotive sector. He has handled successive positions as part of Volkswagen's Field and Sales Operations, and most recently as Manager, Service Marketing and Accessories. Thomas holds a Certificate in Engineering from Seneca College as well as an Honours Degree in History from York University.
