Volunteer at Winterlude 2017

Calling all Canadians

GATINEAU, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 16, 2016) - Department of Canadian Heritage

Canadian Heritage is looking for volunteers interested in helping with this major winter celebration. Residents of the Ottawa-Gatineau region are invited to join the team of volunteers for the 39th Winterlude, which will take place from February 3 to 20, 2017.

Enjoy a rewarding volunteer experience while savouring the joys of winter in a gigantic snow playground. As a volunteer, you could be assigned to one of the following positions: information officer, activities assistant, crowd control officer or snow slide assistant. You might even get to entertain visitors of all ages by dressing up as your favourite Ice Hog! There are lots of ways to lend a hand and have fun at the same time!

Visit our website to see a complete list of Winterlude volunteer opportunities, with descriptions.

Quotes

"Volunteers play a key role in helping Winterlude activities run smoothly. I invite you to join a dynamic team of people who, like you, want to contribute to the success of this popular winter gathering. As we celebrate the 150th anniversary of Confederation, it's an opportunity to give back to your community and connect with your fellow citizens in a fun atmosphere!"

-The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage
