von Essen hotels Acquires Chateau de Bagnols

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 8, 2007) - von Essen hotels is delighted to announce the acquisition of Chateau de Bagnols, near Lyon in France. The exclusive chateau joined the privately owned collection of hotels on the 1st January 2007 and is von Essen's first property overseas. The chateau was acquired from Lady Hamlyn, the widow of publisher Lord Hamlyn, for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition of Chateau de Bagnols completes a very successful year for von Essen and is the latest addition to the 23 strong collection which includes such well known properties as Cliveden in Berkshire and The Royal Crescent in Bath.
