Vook Announces Availability of 47 Enhanced Titles in Apple's iBookstore

Leading Publisher of Enhanced eBooks Charts Course for Rapid Growth

NEW YORK, NY and ALAMEDA, CA--(Marketwire - September 21, 2010) -  Today, Vook, the digital publisher that lights up the world's content with its mixed-media reading experience, announced the availability of 47 enhanced Vook titles in Apple's iBookstore, making the company the largest and fastest growing publisher of enhanced ebooks in the iBookstore. The company also plans to release its entire library and all of its new titles as enhanced ebooks in the iBookstore. The iBookstore is included in the free iBooks app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

"Vook has embraced ebooks and the iBookstore -- and we're only getting started," said Brad Inman, CEO and founder of Vook. "Whether through the Vook website, the App Store or iBookstore -- on a Web browser, iPhone, iPod touch or iPad -- we're opening up even more distribution channels to make Vooks easier to download and enjoy however the reader prefers. We have many more enhanced titles scheduled for release, and the iBookstore is just another way we're reaching existing and new fans with the content they love."

In the three weeks since Vook's launch in the iBookstore, the company has surpassed all players in the digital publishing space to deliver the largest selection of enhanced ebooks currently available. Vook's current offering in the iBookstore includes enhanced titles from best-selling authors such as Seth Godin, Anne Rice and Sherrilyn Kenyon, among others. Enhanced titles across all genres are scheduled for release throughout the rest 2010.

Featuring high-profile authors and top-quality video, Vook's enhanced ebook titles have already become some of the most popular titles for the iPad. Recently "Reckless Road: The Making of Appetite for Destruction," produced with Slash, was number one on the iBookstore's Entertainment chart, "The 90 Second Fitness Solution" was featured on the front page of the store and Seth Godin's "Unleashing the SUPER Ideavirus" was also highlighted in the Business section of the iBookstore.

Vook has been pioneering the interactive ebook experience since Inman founded the company in 2009. Partnering with some of the biggest names in publishing, including Harper Collins, Simon and Schuster and Hachette Filipacchi, Vook has published over 60 titles in the past year. Through proprietary technology that enables Vook partners to quickly and cost effectively publish titles across all platforms without sacrificing quality, Vook continues to innovate in the ebook space with new interactive and social features and offer an immersive digital experience.

A Vook is a digital mixed-media form that blends video, text, images and social streams into a single, integrated experience. Vooks are available on the Web-based Vook Reader, the iBookstore and also on-the-go as unique mobile applications for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch through Apple's App Store.
