Vortex International Launches Cutting-Edge Watermark for Commercial Applications

Demo at IAAPA Attractions Expo Booth 5406 to Showcase Digital Water Expressions That Create Patterns and Words via Water Flow

MONTREAL, QC--(Marketwired - Nov 18, 2014) -  Vortex Aquatic Structures International (www.vortex-intl.com), a manufacturer and world leader in aquatic play landscapes and entertainment solutions, today introduced Watermark, a cutting-edge architectural installation that creates patterns and words by synchronizing lights and manipulating the flow of water. A demo of the technology will be available at IAAPA Attractions Expo, Booth 5406 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

Designed for urban spaces, shopping centers, airports, exhibition centers, amusement parks, and hotels, Watermark features 25 valves per 3.3-feet unit, which generates clear words, logos, and patterns that create unique sequences with tailored messages. An interactive solution, Watermark designs can easily be updated via a secure app, making it ideal for advertising, welcoming guests, and showcasing promotions.

Watermark can be installed indoors and outdoors in customized seamless configurations, and is designed to integrate into existing structures. Watermark's minimal water usage (because of recirculation) and power requirements means it can run around the clock, even after operating hours, which can be important in high traffic areas.

"With Watermark, Vortex is able to provide advertisers, commercial real estate developers, amusement parker owners, exhibition centers and others with a cost-effective yet innovative way to communicate with and get the attention of customers, prospects, and passersby. Using LED lighting, Watermark reinforces our customers' branding and its interactive capabilities engages people instantly," said Stephen Hamelin, president, Vortex International. "That's why we sought out Lumiartecnia, based in Spain, a leader and pioneer in digital water curtain technology, to develop this new line of innovative products."

Vortex has more than 5,000 customers in North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and Latin America. The company manufacturers and ships all its products from its Montreal plant.
