VP & Citrix CTO Harry Labana Joins Atlantis Computing Advisory Board

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 21, 2011) - Atlantis Computing, the leader in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) storage and performance optimization solutions, today announced that Harry Labana, vice president and chief technology officer for Citrix desktop and application virtualization, has joined the Atlantis Computing Advisory Board.

Labana, who joined Citrix in July 2009, is a member of the leadership team that charts the technological direction and product roadmap of Citrix's $1 billion flagship product line. As CTO, he is also responsible for helping to communicate the strategic direction of the company's desktop virtualization solutions to internal and external audiences. As part of the Citrix Office of the CTO, Harry collaborates with other Citrix CTOs to drive the company's overall technology direction and product strategy and advises the executive management team.

Prior to joining Citrix, Labana was at Goldman Sachs for nine years, most recently as a vice president in the Technology division, leading the global engineering and architecture efforts for desktop and application virtualization. While at Goldman Sachs, Labana also worked closely with the Office of the CIO to advise clients, internal bankers and research analysts on trends and investment opportunities. He also advised leading software entrepreneurs and established leaders on strategy, and influenced their roadmaps.

In addition, Labana has 15 years of experience in numerous infrastructure, architecture, project management and software development roles in financial services firms such as Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers, and was a Citrix customer for many years as well as a customer council member. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electronic Systems Engineering with honors from the University of Manchester (UK).
