The exclusive, one-day conference is designed to foster learning by bringing together industry thought leaders to share their knowledge and expertise on how the evolving virtualization and cloud computing landscape is transforming the IT.
The keynote speaker for VSX 2012 is Simon Crosby, co-founder and CTO of Bromium, and former founder and CTO of XenSource. After Citrix acquired XenSource in 2007, Crosby served as CTO of the company's Virtualization & Management Division until 2011. Previously, he was a Principal Engineer at Intel, where he led strategic research in distributed autonomic computing, platform security and trust. Earlier in his career, Crosby founded of CPlane Inc., a network optimization software vendor, and served as a tenured faculty member at the University of Cambridge, where he led research on network performance and control, and multimedia operating systems. Crosby has been awarded a coveted spot as one of InfoWorld's Top 25 CTOs.

Technology track sessions will be led by industry innovators and subject matter experts. Guest speakers include Doug Brown, CTO, President and Founder of DABCC, Inc., who will present on "Self Service Apps to the Cloud"; former Gartner analyst Simon Bramfitt who will share his expertise on the topic of "Provisioning and Management"; and, Ron Oglesby, Chief Solution Architect for Unidesk, who will present on "Desktop Layering: How to Do It."
Entisys' team of experts will also be presenting on the topics of "Bringing Demand Side Economics into the Enterprise"; "Understanding Cloud Reference Architecture"; "Applications & Desktops-as-a-Service Reference Architecture Review"; "Understanding Storage & Virtualization"; and, "Advancement in Hypervisor Technologies."
The conference will also feature two executive workshops focused on "Desktop Tranformation" and "Cloud Discovery." During the luncheon, attendees will be invited to explore the Technology Lab, where they will experience:
- A "day in the life" of an end-user leveraging virtualization and the cloud infrastructure to work from their shared workspace, a remote space such as a coffee shop, from home, and while traveling.
- Demonstrations of the products and services offered by Entisys' virtualization and cloud infrastructure ecosystem partners including Citrix® VMware®, Microsoft and HP.
