This month's study unearthed a significant shift in top U.S. mobile video searches from the same time last year, as well as revealed some quirky preferences in the top viewed U.S. videos and advertisements.

10. Lindsay Lohan

The top five U.S. mobile videos viewed in July 2011 include:

1. Gas Station Worker Strangled in Gas Hose by Car Drive Off
2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 Trailer 2
3. Two-Headed Snake at Odds with Self
4. Troubled Diva Amy Winehouse Dead at 27
5. Break Dancing Gorilla at the Zoo

Demonstrating the viral nature of a well-crafted video, the top viewed mobile video advertisement in the U.S. in July was "Ape with AK-47." This video was part of a viral marketing push for "Rise of the Planet of the Apes."
