Vuzix Receives Follow on $500,000 Order for Tac-Eye™ LT Displays from Coastal Defense, Inc.

ROCHESTER, NEW YORK--(Marketwire - May 18, 2010) - Vuzix Corporation (TSX VENTURE:VZX) today announced it has received a new $500,000 order from Coastal Defense, Inc. for its Tac-Eye® LT Display System for delivery within the next 4 months. Tac-Eye will be used with the Coastal Defense Multi-Channel Video Receiver (MVR-IV). The MVR-IV receives live, full motion video and telemetry captured by the military's growing fleet of unmanned vehicles and displays the video on the Tac-Eye LT. The MVR-IV's weight, size and rugged characteristics make it ideal for mobile or foot patrol operations and the Tac-Eye is the sole video display available for use with the MVR-IV.

Paul Travers, CEO, Vuzix said "This is yet another design win for Vuzix Tac Eye product line which is rapidly becoming the display of choice by various groups within the US defense market" Travers continued, "We are confident that this is the first of many successful program wins for CDI's MVR-IV solution."

"The Tac-Eye met all of the Operator's requirements, the reviews were great, and provided them with a great image of the down linked video" said Kyle Stanbro, President of Coastal Defense Inc. "The air to ground video link is critical to ensuring our Warfighters have the best actionable information, the MVR-IV and Tac-Eye provides this information in a lightweight, easy to use package that we feel will continue to find success in the field".
