Vyatta to Lead Cloud Migration Strategy Discussion at Cloud Expo West

Attendees to Gain Insight Into Secure Strategies for Enterprises Migrating to the Cloud

BELMONT, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 3, 2011) - Vyatta, the leader in software-based networking for physical, virtual and cloud infrastructures, will be leading a session aimed at educating enterprises on secure cloud migration techniques at next week's Cloud Expo West event in Santa Clara, CA.

Vyatta's Director of Product Management, Jae Lee, will discuss common barriers to migration and how software-based networking can overcome these challenges when moving to the cloud. This session will focus on enterprise-specific secure cloud migration techniques and detail the benefits of the customer-controlled virtual firewall, VPN and IPS in the IaaS cloud.

As the old appliance model in network infrastructures of datacenters and clouds is being replaced by software and virtual machines, next-generation network security is paving the way for secure migration into the cloud. While one of the key benefits of the cloud is network access from any location, this brings to light critical issues including access restrictions and, more importantly, who controls it.

Jae will present "Secure Cloud Migration Strategies" on Monday, November 7, from 2:40 to 3:25 p.m. (PT) as part of Track 7: Moving to the Cloud in Practice.
