W by Worth Teams Up With The Junior League to Empower Women Civic Leaders Creating Community Impact

Provides Individual Junior Leagues With Access to a New Fundraising Platform to Support Community Initiatives

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Nov 2, 2015) -  The Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI), one of the largest, most effective women's volunteer organizations in the world, today announced that W by Worth, a premier direct-to-consumer luxury fashion retailer headquartered in New York, has become a corporate partner. In that role, W by Worth will work with AJLI and individual Junior Leagues and their members in various capacities, including creating fundraising platforms that support community-based programs that benefit women, children and families by addressing important social issues like childhood obesity, intergenerational poverty and foster care.

Worth Collection, Ltd, parent company of W by Worth, has long-standing ties to the AJLI starting with the company's co-founder Caroline Davis, former League President and AJLI Board Member, who refers to her 19 years of League training, service and leadership as the MBA that allowed her to start two national companies. Six of the company's current and former executive leaders were also League Presidents and AJLI Board members.

Laurie Dodge, AJLI's Director of Marketing & Development, said, "We're excited to work with W by Worth in providing our Leagues and their members with access to a truly innovative, multi-dimensional fundraising platform. W by Worth's business model of direct-to-consumer fashion retailing is a great fit with fundraising tools most Leagues already use, including holiday bazaars, annual galas and retailing venues in the communities they serve."

W by Worth President Courtney Denby added, "We are thrilled to support The Junior League's long-standing mission of empowering women as trained volunteers who achieve lasting community impact. A partnership with The Junior League is attractive for many reasons, including the fact that League members so closely match the profile of W by Worth consumers and stylists -- and many of our executive leaders and stylists are themselves League members! We also view our support of Junior League fundraising for community-based initiatives as an extension of our own charitable giving program, Every Woman Has Worth that donates $1.2 million in new clothing annually to women in crisis."
