W2 Energy Inc. Issues Corporate Status Report

TORONTO--(Marketwire - June 22, 2009) - W2 Energy Inc. (PINKSHEETS: WTWO) a developer of green energy, is pleased to issue this corporate status update.

On June 18 the company filed a Form 15 to terminate its registration under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The Company's Board of Directors made this decision after reviewing the high cost of compliance with its reporting obligations, which the Company cannot sustain at the present time. It is the intention of the Company to remain on the Pink Sheets and publish regular financial reports on the Pink Sheets website.

The capabilities of W2 Energy's technology and equipment is becoming known, and as a result it is receiving many inquiries. While the majority of the inquiries are coming from the international market, there are now serious inquiries being received from the United States. The Company is preparing proposals related to several projects in the United States. The Company believes that it will be able to help with the ongoing environmental cleanup in the United States using its technology and waste-to-energy plants.

The company is advancing on several projects previously announced. Most of these projects are at the stage of waiting to confirm financing.

W2 Energy is also working on several spin off projects like our SEGS, Sun Catcher, Sun filter, Steam Ray, and on-board hydrogen generator. We are hoping to package these products for mainstream industrial and consumer applications. We are adopting this strategy to hopefully bring a lower cost product to market that will create a constant cash flow while waiting for the larger projects to come to fruition.
