NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - June 16, 2008) - W2 Energy Inc. (PINKSHEETS: WTWO) (FRANKFURT: WJD) and Better World Energy of Thailand are pleased to announce the formation of a joint venture to build one waste-to-energy plant which will convert 40 tons of municipal waste into electricity and 70 cetane synthetic diesel. The plants will use W2 Energy's proprietary plasma and gas to liquid technologies and Better World Energy's expertise in developing waste-to-energy plants.

"Better World Energy is a new company in a new industry," says Mike McLaren, CEO of W2 Energy. "Their energy and enthusiasm make them an excellent partner. This is our first deal with them but it won't be our last. I think W2 and Better World make excellent partners."

Dullajit Apaivongse, Managing Director of Better World, states, "W2 Energy is a pleasure to work with. They have great technology and an excellent understanding of the marketplace, which allows the local partner to quickly develop viable waste to energy projects. We are thrilled to help Thailand deal with its waste problems and energy problems at the same time."

The joint venture will pay W2 Energy for design, construction, delivery and commissioning of the waste-to-energy plant, which will produce approximately 100 barrels of synthetic diesel per day and will have a 5 MW steam turbine for electricity production.

W2 Energy and TecFuels have formed this joint venture to promote and implement sustainable and renewable energy sources worldwide. Both companies are committed to reversing climate change and helping the global economy grow using clean energy sources.
