EMSDETTEN, GERMANY--(Marketwired - Jun 29, 2015) - The newly developed heavy-duty reversing camera WAECO PerfectView CAM 55 is the epitome of safety for trucks and agricultural vehicles. It relieves the stress for drivers by monitoring the work flow. The driver detects errors and jams at an early stage and avoids problems like blind spots. Safe and targeted manoeuvring or anticipating potential hazards, avoids damage and the associated costs.
The camera is enclosed in a robust aluminium housing with a stainless steel mount. It has passed all relevant electrical, mechanical and environmental tests with distinction. The PerfectView CAM 55 was tested and approved according to IP 69K standards, is certified, among others, according to ISO 16750-3, and has a vibration resistance of ten grams.
Due to the generously dimensioned voltage input range of 10 - 32 volts, there's no need for an additional control box. A vehicle-specific adapter is all it takes to connect the camera to any on-board DC supply. Adapters are available for easy connection of the PerfectView CAM 55 to the vehicle's original multimedia display or ISO bus terminal. The absence of the need for a control box results in additional cost savings.
Designed for operating temperatures from -30 to +70°C, the CAM 55 is safe for use in the toughest weather conditions. The reversing camera, including the mount, has a size of 80 x 50 x 62 mm and weighs a mere 165 grams. It has a large picture angle of 120 degrees diagonal, and a resolution of two megapixels. The light emitting diodes are placed separately in the housing to ensure glare-free vision at night.
