Hawaii's Food and Wine Festival Features the Works of The Waikiki EDITION's Masaharu Morimoto and Kaleo Adams

A perfect reason for an escape to paradise, the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival, set for September 29 through October 1, 2011, will include exciting cooking demonstrations by world-class chefs, wine tastings, culinary workshops, industry seminars and field excursions. Representing one of the finest Waikiki beach restaurants, Executive Chef Masaharu Morimoto of Morimoto Waikiki and known by millions as the star of Iron Chef, will participate in the festival's first signature event, "Streets of Asia: Morimoto and Friends" on Thursday, September 29 at The Waikiki EDITION. This evening presentation around the hotel's Sunrise Pool will include interpretations of popular Hawaiian dishes by top chefs including Kaleo Adams, also of The Waikiki EDITION's Morimoto Waikiki restaurant, and other world renowned culinary professionals from Hawaii, Korea, Singapore, Canada and the United States.

The "Halekulani Master Chefs Gala Dinner Series" is a lavish formal dinner set for Friday evening, September 30 at the Halekulani Hotel and will feature dishes created by master chefs representing Hawaii, Japan, Australia and the United States. The concluding event "From Mauka to Makai" (Mountains to Sea) is a grand tasting event set for Saturday evening, October 1 on the Great Lawn of the Hilton Hawaiian Village that will promote farm-to-table cuisine utilizing sustainable sourcing and cooking practices.
