Wake Up Rich This Summer With Travelodge Canada

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept. 12, 2007) - The Wake up Rich at Travelodge summer promotion concluded September 4, 2007 and one lucky guest woke up $25,000 richer!

Annette of Niagara Falls, Ontario was this year's grand prize winner. Skeptical at first, she says she was "shocked" to discover she had in fact found the $25,000 winning game card.

As a resident of Niagara Falls, Annette was shy to admit her very fortunate hotel visit was also in the city in which she lives, at the Travelodge Niagara Falls Bonaventure. To add a touch of sentiment to the win, Annette admitted to her reason for this local stay. In 1992, for their 25th wedding anniversary, Annette and her husband booked a room in what is now the Travelodge Niagara Falls Bonaventure. Fifteen years later they chose to commemorate their 40th wedding anniversary at the same hotel.

A special celebration made even more memorable when Annette and her husband won $25,000.

"What better way to remember your wedding anniversary than by waking up to $25,000?" says Trevor Hagel, Marketing Manager for Travelodge Canada. "We are very happy for Annette and her husband and would also like to congratulate the many other promotion winners. Though only one guest could Wake up Rich, we hope all of our summer visitors woke up with a smile."

Other cash prizes available to be won included $5,000, $1,000 and $100 prizes, plus $25 to $50 off guests' stays. Guests also had the chance to win from 4100 to 1,000,000 Hbc Rewards points or $500 to $5000 shopping sprees at Hbc stores.

Winning game card prizes can still be claimed at any Travelodge or Thriftlodge property in Canada until December 30, 2007. Full contest details and rules are available on-line at www.travelodge.ca.
