Walk, Wheel or Run and Help Make Muscles Move! Join the 2010 Toronto Walk for Muscular Dystrophy

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 3, 2010) - The first annual Walk for Muscular Dystrophy will be hosted by the Toronto Walk for Muscular Dystrophy planning committee on September 11th at Cherry Beach/Clarke Beach Park. Festivities begin at 10:00a.m. with participant registration and the walk, wheel or run begins at 11:00a.m.

The Walk for Muscular Dystrophy is a fun event that the entire family can participate in - regardless of fitness level. "The Walk is a great opportunity to meet other families and individuals in the community as well as the local Fire Fighters, who are Muscular Dystrophy Canada's greatest supporters" boasts Meighan Hartley, Muscular Dystrophy Canada's Community Development Manager in Ontario and Nunavut. 

The celebration includes activities for kids, snacks and refreshments, and even a visit from local Fire Fighters. Walk participants can choose from a 1km or 5km route. Make a difference by registering for the Toronto Walk for Muscular Dystrophy at and help raise funds to support those living with a neuromuscular disorder in your community.
