Waller Announces New Leadership for Its Financial Services Department

NASHVILLE, TN--(Marketwired - Oct 6, 2015) - Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, LLP announced today that veteran banking attorney Richard T. Hills will lead the law firm's Financial Services department, a multidisciplinary team of more than 65 attorneys providing legal services to commercial and investment banks, trust companies, credit unions, bank holding companies, specialty lenders, broker-dealers, securities firms, investment advisors, and electronic payment and financial technology companies. Waller also announced that Ron C. Snitker has joined the firm as Waller's Executive Director of Financial Services after 15 years at UBS Financial Services Inc. Snitker will develop and implement the department's strategy and business development activities working with client and industry sector teams comprising attorneys from Waller's corporate, commercial finance, bankruptcy and restructuring, dispute resolution, and tax practices.

For nearly two decades, Richard T. Hills has focused his legal practice on helping financial services clients grow through mergers and acquisitions, stock and debt offerings and other capital raising activities. He assists financial institutions with corporate formations and restructurings, recapitalizations, corporate governance, and a host of complex regulatory issues. Hills also represents financial institutions in examinations, investigations and enforcement proceedings before federal and state financial institution regulatory agencies. Prior to joining Waller in 2014, Hills was a partner with Womble Carlyle's Financial Institutions team in Atlanta. Hills earned his J.D., cum laude, in 1996 from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law. He earned his B.A. in 1992 from Davidson College.

Ron C. Snitker has more than 20 years of experience with high-profile, international financial services companies in senior roles ranging from sales and marketing to administration and client management. Prior to joining Waller, he served as Director of Sales Marketing and Administration for Equity Plan Advisory Services at UBS Financial Services Inc. Snitker holds dual MBAs from the Haas School of Business (University of California, Berkeley) and Columbia Business School. He earned a B.B.A. in Finance and a B.A. in Music Performance from the University of Iowa. Snitker completed the Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation in 2003. He is active in community causes and is currently serving on the Nashville LGBT Chamber of Commerce board of directors and chairs the board's marketing committee.
