Waller Attorney Recognized as One of Nashville's Top 30 Under 30


NASHVILLE, TN--(Marketwire - Oct 5, 2012) - Tera Rica Murdock, a trial lawyer at Waller, Nashville's largest and oldest law firm, has been honored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as one of Nashville's Top 30 Under 30 professionals. Murdock was recognized for her philanthropic involvement, exemplary leadership qualities and professional success as an attorney.

Murdock serves a variety of clients across the manufacturing, financial services, and healthcare industries. Her practice focuses on litigation and dispute resolution, data management, financial services litigation, healthcare litigation and labor and employment law. She also provides pro bono legal services through the Legal Aid Society.

Additionally, Murdock is an active supporter of the YWCA of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, which provides women with the means and support to leave abusive domestic situations. She also participates in preparing wills for members of the armed services before deployment through the Wills for Heroes program, and she is involved with the Renewal House's Shopping for Christmas program, helping mothers provide holiday memories for their children. Murdock is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee, and American Bar Associations, the Lawyer's Association for Women, and a board member with the Nashville Bar Association Young Lawyer's Division, on which she serves as chair of the Homelessness Committee.

Murdock received her B.A., summa cum laude, in Spanish and Chemistry from Murray State University, where she was a presidential scholar and named Murray State's Outstanding Senior Woman. She received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University. While in law school, Murdock was editor-in-chief of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law and director of Vanderbilt's Street Law program at the Campus for Human Development.
