Nate Bailey, Intellectual Property - A registered patent attorney, Bailey focuses on acquiring and enforcing intellectual property rights in the areas of patent, trademark and copyright law, including federal district court litigation and proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Bailey began his career at the Trial Division of the United States Patent and Trademark Office where he focused on multiple technological areas, including electrical, computer, mechanical and chemical arts. In 2007, Bailey earned his J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law and his M.S., cum laude, in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Southern Illinois University. He earned B.S. degrees in Physics and Chemistry in 2004 from East Tennessee State University.

Steven E. Blumenthal, Corporate - Blumenthal focuses his practice on information technology, and he works extensively with both IT vendors and their customers. He represents healthcare providers, retailers, software companies, and other clients in the negotiation of on-premises and cloud technology license and service agreements, including electronic health record (EHR) systems; retail, customer relationship and inventory management systems; and data center co-location services. Before joining Waller, Blumenthal served as General Counsel of Carfax, the leading provider of automotive vehicle history reports, and as corporate counsel for Epic Systems, one the nation's largest EHR providers. Blumenthal earned his J.D. in 1995 from the University of Virginia School of Law. He earned his B.A., summa cum laude, in 1992 from Tulane University.

Todd R. Hambidge, Litigation and Dispute Resolution - Hambidge represents clients from a wide range of industries -- including energy, chemicals, metals, financial services, technology, electronics and entertainment -- in commercial disputes and intellectual property litigation. His business litigation practice focuses primarily on contractual disputes, fraud, tortious interference, unfair competition and, statutory compliance. His IP litigation experience centers on trademark infringement, dilution, and counterfeiting, as well as copyright infringement, patent infringement, and the misappropriation of trade secrets. Before joining Waller, Hambidge was a senior associate with Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP in New York. Hambidge earned his J.D. in 2007 from Vanderbilt University Law School. He earned his B.A., magna cum laude, in 2004 from DePauw University.

Michael T. Harmon, Litigation and Dispute Resolution - Harmon represents financial institutions, healthcare providers, and other businesses in complex civil litigation. He has defended numerous financial institutions in matters involving derivatives and syndicated loans, and recently he successfully represented a group of five national lenders in a dispute with the lead bank of a syndicated credit facility. In 2008, Harmon earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University Owen School of Management. He holds an M.P.P., with distinction, from Australian National University, and he earned his B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science in 2001 from the University of South Carolina.

Aron Z. Karabel, Labor and Employment - Karabel provides advice and counsel to public and private corporations in a wide range of labor and employment matters, including wage and hour issues, benefits matters, employment contracts, employee discipline, unfair labor practices, and workplace discrimination and harassment. He has served as general counsel and chief negotiator for colleges and universities, school districts and municipalities and has successfully litigated matters in both federal and state courts as well as before various arbitrators and public agencies. Karabel earned his J.D., cum laude, in 2005 from Albany Law School. He earned B.A. degrees, cum laude, in Political Science and Psychology in 2002 from Arizona State University.

Brian J. Malcom, Litigation and Dispute Resolution - Malcom represents banks, lenders, financial institutions, and healthcare providers in commercial disputes and litigation matters related to financial products liability, contractual agreements, and other business issues. He was a key member of the Waller teams representing trustees of billions of dollars in bonds in the Jefferson County, Alabama and Detroit, Michigan bankruptcies, the largest municipal bankruptcies in American history. Malcom earned his J.D., cum laude, in 2008 from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law. He earned undergraduate degrees, magna cum laude, in Political Science and Psychology in 2005 from the University of Georgia.

Trevor M. Sava, Corporate - Sava focuses his practice on assisting healthcare providers, manufacturers and technology companies in transactional engagements, corporate governance and general corporate matters. His experience includes assisting clients ranging from public companies to start-ups with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic business transactions. Sava earned his J.D. in 2006 from Tulane University Law School and Harvard University Law School. Prior to joining Waller, Sava gained experience with law firms in Cleveland, Ohio and Birmingham, Alabama. He holds an M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University, and he earned his B.S., magna cum laude, in 2001 in International Business Logistics from Auburn University.
