ALBANY, NY--(Marketwire - Oct 2, 2012) - CommerceHub®, the ONE Connection for supply chain integration and fulfillment solutions, has been selected by Walmart Canada to provide supplier integration and drop ship fulfillment for its eCommerce operations. CommerceHub's integration technology will enable Walmart Canada to expand product assortment by growing their direct-ship supply chain.
"CommerceHub has given us the ability to add new suppliers quickly, with visibility into our supply-chain and fulfillment performance to discover and manage problems long before they become customer issues. It allows us to focus more on the customer, ensuring we are delivering the best experience possible," said Simon Rodrigue, GM of eCommerce at Walmart Canadawalmart.ca
CommerceHub will provide a direct connection to Walmart Canada's existing order management system for processing purchase orders, order acknowledgements, inventory and fulfillment data with customer direct suppliers. The solution will also support special orders for both in-store pick-up as well as direct-ship to customers' homes.
The CommerceHub One Connection integration standardizes communications with direct-ship suppliers, regardless of legacy technology format, enabling quick on-boarding and electronic compliance with Walmart Canada's distribution networks. The CommerceHub platform enables purchase orders to be sent to each supplier with all the information required to create customized branded packing slips for orders direct-shipped to the customer or to a store for customer pick-up.
"The CommerceHub platform will allow us to create a virtual warehouse of new product offerings to meet Canadian's online needs while allowing us to bring great products to our customers at great prices," said Gino DiGioacchino Senior VP of Ecommerce.
CommerceHub's Drop-Ship Master® provides the comprehensive suite of fulfillment management solutions that enables Walmart Canada to achieve the same levels of customer service, branding and fulfillment performance through its drop ship network as it does with orders shipped from their own warehouses.
"We welcome the opportunity to assist Walmart Canada in expanding its product offerings by reliably connecting with new drop ship suppliers," said Steve Hamlin, CommerceHub CEO. With over 11,000 supplier connections to manufacturers, distributors and carriers connected to the ONE Connection Platform, CommerceHub processed over 26 million drop ship orders in 2011.
