Walter Synalovski Keen on Continuing the Legacy of Camp Mah-Kee-Nac

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Aug 10, 2016) - Walter Synalovski is the current director of an all-boys camp called Camp Mah-Kee-Nac and he has announced today that he is keen on keeping the legacy of the camp running forever.

The camp is located in Lenox, Massachusetts in the state's Berkshire Mountains. It is found near Stockbridge Bowl locally known as Lake Mah-kee-nac. Before joining Camp Mah-Kee-Nac, Synalovski previously worked at Cedar Lake Camp in New Jersey for over 14 years from October 1995 to December 2009 and has said that 2016 has been the most successful year of all time for the camp.

Synalovski attended Florida International University from 1985 to 1989. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management. Today, Synalovski is highly skilled in curriculum design, fundraising, event planning, coaching, educational leadership, staff development, public speaking, teaching and working with nonprofits. He boasts of an impressive 20-year experience working as a camp director. He continues the great traditions of Camp Mah-Kee-Nac under his leadership.

Synalovski has been at the helm of Camp Mah-Kee-Nac since August 2010 -- a period of 6 years. The camp was founded back in 1929 by Joe Kruger as a traditional camp for boys where they get a chance to sleep away from home for a few weeks. Today, the camp has a capacity of 300 campers and employs about 150 staffers. It is active during the summer holiday.

Mah-Kee-Nac features top-notch facilities. It has four water ski boats that operate full-time as well as a small fleet of modern sail boats. It also has a heated pool, 6 basketball courts, a field house, 18 tennis courts, football fields, lacrosse fields, soccer fields, 3 baseball diamonds (full-size) and a roller hockey rink. It also has separate buildings designed for accommodating an extensive performing and visual arts program.

The camp offers numerous adventure-based programs that include hiking, camping, kayaking, ropes and white water rafting. The camp is situated just 2 hours away from Boston, Massachusetts, and 3 hours (drive) from the city of New York. It has a sister camp called Danbee that is located just 30 minutes away. The camp pays its staff top salaries. It also provides them with room and board facilities as well as travel allowances. In addition, the camp provides its employees with certifications.
