WAM Development Group Sets New Standard for Retail Shopping Centres

Emerald Hills Centre helps raise community business profile in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 8, 2011) - WAM Development Group, a North American leader in commercial real estate development, has announced the development of the new Emerald Hills shopping centre in north Sherwood Park, Alberta. The unique architecture and design of this development make it a preferred shopping destination.

Emerald Hills is a landmark retail development currently under construction, and sets a new standard for shopping in the affluent areas of Sherwood Park and Strathcona County. With over 600,000 square feet of retail space, new retailers can look forward to joining a strong lineup of major international, national and regional box and anchor tenants, including Walmart Canada, launching the first of their new 130,000 square foot supercentre prototype.

The Centre is prominently located in the affluent community of Strathcona County, sitting adjacent to Highway 16 between the Sherwood Drive and Cloverbar Road interchanges. The initial phase of construction is forecast to be complete by summer of 2012.
