WANdisco Announces Release of Apache Subversion 1.7.4

Apache Subversion 1.7.4 Now Available to Download From WANdisco, and Through the Free, Open ALM Platform for Subversion


SAN RAMON, CA--(Marketwire - Mar 8, 2012) - WANdisco, the leading provider of Apache Subversion-based software and services for the enterprise, and a major corporate sponsor of the Subversion project, has announced that the latest release, Apache Subversion 1.7.4, is now available to download for free from its website, and also through the free, open ALM platform for Subversion, uberSVN.

Apache Subversion 1.7 was a major release for the Subversion community, and every subsequent release has brought even more fixes and improvements for Subversion's ever-growing community of users. Subversion 1.7.4 improves the FSFS sanity-check error message, and features a list of bug fixes, including:

  • a fix for the missing 'Merged via' notifications that occurred randomly in 'svn log -g'
  • a fix for the regressions with symlinks pointing at externals
  • a fix for the 'svn log --diff' output ordering issue on Windows

The fill list of what's new and noteworthy in Apache Subversion 1.7.4, is available in the Changes file. The latest, certified open source binaries are available from the WANdisco website. Apache Subversion 1.7.4 is also available through the free uberSVN platform for Apache Subversion.
