WANdisco Releases Non-Stop Hadoop 1.9.10 With Seamless Integration With Hortonworks & Cloudera

New Release Offers New Administration and Monitoring Console

SAN RAMON, CA--(Marketwired - December 09, 2014) - WANdisco (LSE: WAND), a leading provider of continuous-availability software for global enterprises to meet the challenges of Big Data, today announced the release of Non-Stop Hadoop version 1.9.10 with support for Cloudera's CDH 5.2 and Hortonworks' HDP 2.2. Non-Stop Hadoop 1.9.10 also introduces an intuitive global administration console with easy-to-configure directory-level selective replication across any combination of any number of data centers. These improvements further enhance Non-Stop Hadoop's ability to increase performance and reduce costs in global, multi-data center deployments by delivering:

1. Continuous Hadoop availability, performance and scalability across data centers any distance apart.
2. Local network speed read/write access to the same data across all locations, subject to the customer's selective replication policies.
3. The ability to ingest and analyze data anywhere.
4. 100% use of all compute resources so money isn't wasted on idle backup hardware.
5. Cluster zoning which isolates the most resource intensive applications to high-end servers best suited to support them, without requiring high-cost servers throughout the entire cluster.

Non-Stop Hadoop 1.9.10 simplifies management of global Hadoop deployments with an intuitive user interface featuring a world map that displays the status of each data center where Non-Stop Hadoop is installed. Each data center appears in green, yellow, or red depending on the state of the cluster at that location. Users can then click on any location to access server information and perform administration tasks for the site. The new console also integrates seamlessly with Cloudera Manager and Ambari, making it easy for administrators to manage their Non-Stop Hadoop deployments using tools they're familiar with.

"With the release of 1.9.10, we have made Non-Stop Hadoop a truly transparent addition to Hortonworks and Cloudera, and once again demonstrated our commitment to support their latest releases," said David Richards, WANdisco CEO and Co-Founder. "Non-Stop Hadoop is now easily accessible to any organization that requires the highest levels of availability and performance with fine-grained control over how its data is distributed."

In addition to its updated management console, Non-Stop Hadoop 1.9.10 supports easy-to-configure directory-level selective replication across any combination of any number of data centers. This enables fine-grained replication control with significantly better performance and reliability than DistCp-based solutions.
