Wanger to Keynote ACWA Conference

Newly Retired Federal Judge to Offer Insights Into California Water Issues


SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 6, 2011) - Newly retired U.S. District Court Judge Oliver Wanger will be the keynote speaker at a Dec. 1 luncheon program during ACWA's 2011 Fall Conference & Exhibition in Anaheim.

Wanger, who stepped down Sept. 30 after more than 20 years on the bench, will share his observations and insights on California water and the need for solutions. From his courtroom in Fresno, the judge has ruled on some of the most important and high-profile cases involving environmental regulations and the operation of the state's major water projects.

ACWA's 2011 Fall Conference & Exhibition takes place Nov. 29 through Dec. 2 at the Anaheim Marriott. Themed "Financing Our Future," the conference offers a full slate of programs and panel discussions on everything from water supply to fees to hydraulic fracturing.

Other confirmed speakers include drinking water expert Edward Means and California Forward Executive Director James P. Mayer.
