Wanted: Your Fast Food Fiasco Story

KANSAS CITY, MO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 17, 2005 -- Nationally syndicated cartoonist Mark Pett wants your fast food restaurant real-life adventures, nightmares, chuckles and tears. If selected, your story will become part of his "Lucky Cow" comic strip. Enter at by Sept. 5, 2005.

A microcosm of America set in a fast-food restaurant, Lucky Cow tells the story of a father and daughter running their own fast-food franchise. Universal Press Syndicate syndicates Lucky Cow to about 75 newspapers, reaching more than 12 million people daily.

"We've all heard the stories," says Pett. "The famous chicken head story where a woman finds a perfectly breaded and fried chicken head in her otherwise normal basket of wings or the customer who no matter which fast food chain, while in the drive thru, always persists in reminding the fast food worker that the food is 'to go!'"

"I used to work in a fast food restaurant," Pett adds. "Sometimes they are really good, but now and again things can go drastically wrong."

Whether it's a story of an overworked and underpaid employee, the food itself, or just your own personal folly, Pett wants to hear about your fast food tales.

There will be only one winner, hand-picked by Pett. The winner's story will become a Lucky Cow strip and the winner will receive the signed original, as well as a free-signed copy of Pett's latest comic collection from Andrews McMeel Publishing, "Lucky Cow," now available in book stores and online. Entries can be emailed by Sept. 5, 2005, to
